Noticeboard

When you attend for your next appointment why not use our new checking in service? As you walk into the waiting room you will see the new automatic check-in ahead of you, to the left. Just touch the screen and follow the instructions. To use it, all you need to know is your date of birth! It really is that simple!

PLEASE NOTE: GP appointments are 10 minutes in duration.

Click on our new 'Dementia Support and Information' page (on the right hand side of the home page) for lots of help and advice on dealing with dementia.

Patient User Group (PUG)

  • Our next meeting will be held at the surgery at 12.45pm on Tuesday 11th July 2017

Our patient group was first established in 2004, when we moved to Marlborough House, in Warrior Square. The group has been revitalised over the last year or so, with new members joining us and regular monthly meetings being held. The meetings are advertised in the waiting room and new members are always welcome.

We run the annual patient survey and we've also carried out a campaign to highlight the need for patients to take up invitations for cancer screening.

The patient profile at Carisbrooke Surgery is diverse, with groups of patients from all walks of life and from many countries. St Leonards is a multicultural area with residents from all parts of the world and hopefully our Patient Group will continue to grow to reflect this.  At present we look after around 7600 patients.

Our patient group consists of 11 members at the moment with ages ranging from 30 to 79. Some of them have offered their services having seen our posters, and others have joined after the doctors have mentioned the group to them. They already represent a good cross section of our patient population as far as health issues and ethnic background are concerned.

The meetings which are chaired by one of our patients, are usually attended by the Practice Manager, and we nearly always have one of the doctors there. The doctors are happy to answer questions and join in discussions.

If you would like to let us have your views on the surgery or become a member of our Virtual Patient User Group by email, just email us at HRCCG.CarisbrookePUG@nhs.net . You can make any observations you have and we will discuss what you have said at the next Patient Group meeting and feed back to you. In this way, we hope to reach patients who are unable to attend meetings - so please join us
